Our Mindful Eye

In my neck of the woods, spring has been dragging her feet, letting winter have its way far too much this season. As a result, our plants are a little behind in making their appearances.  However last week there was a turn in the weather, and we have had a week of some warm weather, warm enough to rain rather than snow, hallelujure!  So now the grass is starting to blush shades of green, the daffodils are smiling, and buds are starting to show themselves! I couldn't be happier about it!

I don't have a yard at this time, but I do have a deck, and take full advantage of every inch of it.  Last week when at the store I bought a lavender plant to help cheer the place up.  This week I bought some wax flowers.  I love the dainty little blossoms, they seem to yell wild flower.  They are also very long lasting.  I split them up into three vases and spread them through out my house. It makes me smile, fresh flowers are the best!

I wonder what Tracie has been mindful of this week?

Awake, thou wintry earth -

Fling off thy sadness!
Fair vernal flowers, laugh forth
Your ancient gladness!
